Our HTML email coding process (quick overview)
This is a quick post about our build process so you can get an idea of how we work 😊
- Once the designs are received and price agreed, we schedule in one of our HTML email dev’s to code the email, we use best practices to build our emails you can see our HTML email template here.
Once built:
- We run our code through https://validator.w3.org/ to ensure it is semantic – this validation is great as it will also reference any code issues like unclosed tags, which can cause issues on come HTML email clients
- Before we upload to the server/mailer, we compress the images using https://tinypng.com/ to ensure they are optimised.
- We then run a test on https://www.emailonacid.com/ which gives us previews on how the email looks on all HTML email clients – we then check each preview for any issues, if there is issues, we then fix, and repeat the process.
We then you send a link to preview the email, and an Email on Acid link showing how your email looks across different devices and email clients.
